Social Services
Tulane Abdominal Transplant Institute has social workers available for pre-transplant assessment, emotional support during the transplant process, and post-transplant needs. You will be assigned a social worker during the evaluation process who can assist in locating many resources.
Our social workers can also assist with the Ticket to Work program when a patient feels that they are ready to go back to work.
Social Services conduct a monthly transplant support group. Pre-transplant patients are encouraged to attend as we find this to be a great source of comfort to many of our patients.
