At Tulane Abdominal Transplant Institute, we understand that you may need to travel a great distance in order to visit with our doctors at Tulane University Hospital & Clinic.We also value the importance of having family and friends nearby throughout your hospital stay as you recover from surgery.

There are a few lodging options close to the hospital with discounted rates that are available to patients and their families.

The most convenient lodging is the Deming Pavilion Guest Housing. These are furnished apartments connected to Tulane Medical Center. Accommodations are provided only to patients receiving medical services and their family members, and are available on a first-come basis. In addition to the Deming Pavilion, there are a few hotels in the area that provide a discount to patients and their families.

Deming Pavilion Guest Housing

Rates:

  • Efficiency $50 per night includes 2 twin beds or 1 full bed, kitchen, and bathroom.
  • One Bedroom $65 per night includes 2 twin beds or 1 full bed, kitchen, bathroom, and living room with couch.
  •  Two Bedrooms $85 per night includes 2 full beds, kitchen, bathroom, and living room with couch.

Amenities include:

  • Secured access entrance system
  • Fully equipped kitchen with microwave and coffee maker
  • Air-conditioning and heating
  • Free basic cable TV
  • Free local phone calls (guests are responsible for their own long distance calls)
  • Washers and dryers on each floor
